Confederate Section
Just inside the entrance arch is a kiosk containing the names of over 2200 Confederate soldiers from 14 states buried within the boxwood enclosure. Recent discoveries have revealed the existence of "Negro Row" within the Confederate Section, although its location is unknown. Among the names of the ten "Negro Row" burials listed on the kiosk is "Jane", slave of Col. W. H. Brown, who was the only woman buried in the Confederate Section during the Civil War.
