Station House Museum highlights the important and diverse roles that people buried in the Cemetery have played in local railroad history. Since the 1850s many African Americans have held prominent positions working for railroad companies in Lynchburg. Many others died tragically in railroad accidents. Interpretive plaques are along the railing on the rear platform.
