Furnishings
Most of the Chapel's interior furnishings were salvaged from the old Hermon church in Appomattox, VA:
Stone Foundation
Ceiling Beams
Beaded Board
Floor Boards
Piano
Pump Organ
Pews
Pulpit
Altar Cross
Attendance Board
Communion Service
The lovely "stained glass" window behind the alter is actually opalescent glass and was copied from the window in the Ivy Chapel Union Church.
The belfry houses the Bicentennial Bell, which can be rung to announce life’s special moments. The bell was cast for the Old City Cemetery by the preeminent Whitechapel Bell Foundry in London, England. It is rung by the traditional pulling of the rope!
