No experience is required, but potential Old City Cemetery volunteers should have a love of history, historic preservation, or horticulture, and enjoy working with the public. The Cemetery needs volunteers who are able to share their time and talents as tour guides or gardeners. Tour guides are instructed on Cemetery general history, with options to specialize in one location.
General gardening is an organized Wednesday activity with a group. Depending on the needs of the week, the gardeners accompany staff to different work locations.
For more information, please come to one of the orientations. They are Friday, February 24 from 9:00-10:00 am or Saturday, February 25, 9:00-10:00 am.
