In late October 2017 we received the most pleasant of surprises: an unsolicited check in the mail for 2,000! Unfortunately, neither the check nor its accompanying stub gave any indication of who made this incredible donation.
After several weeks of unsuccessful attempts to identify the donor, including many telephone calls, emails, and bank visits, we decided to cash the anonymous check. The last thing we wanted was the donor to think we didn’t appreciate his or her gift.
We wish we could thank the donor and acknowledge his or her generosity, but at the moment, this is the best we can do. If you are the donor, please contact us, and we will give you proper recognition. Otherwise, please know how very grateful we are for this gift.
