On Sunday, October 8, the Lynchburg area Episcopal Clergy gather to celebrate Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi. Bring your favorite creature (in pet carriers or on a leash, please) or a picture of your pet. Join us to have your animal friend blessed in the spirit of this patron saint. All animals are welcome!
Please do not forget dog or cat food or monetary donations for the Lynchburg Humane Society, who will have animals on-site available for adoption.
The event begins in front of the Cemetery’s Bicentennial Chapel.
All events are sponsored by the Southern Memorial Association.
Please contact us for more information about the Old City Cemetery or any of these events.
