Join us July 18 for a scavenger hunt that is fun for the whole family! This fun and educational scavenger hunt will take families through OCC’s 27 acres and get kids thinking about history, nature, art, and even a little math! While the scavenger hunt is geared towards elementary-aged kids, they will need the help and photography skills of an older sibling or parents.
The hunt will begin at the Cemetery Center where rules for the hunt will be explained and each family/group will be given a list of things to find throughout the cemetery. When an item is found, the family will take a picture of the item with at least one member of the group also in the picture. After the family is finished finding everything, they will return to the Cemetery Center and show one of our judges the pictures. For each item found, the family will receive a point. Bonus points will be rewarded to the groups that finish first, second, and third. There are also some bonus activities which will earn the family additional points. Prizes will be rewarded!
All events are sponsored by the Southern Memorial Association.
