Learn about the fascinating art of hair work and make your own “hairloom.” Use human hair, horsehair, or embroidery thread and a replica weaving table to create Victorian jewelry by hand. Kathy will teach you how to make a woven bracelet or necklace.
Participants should bring 200 strands of hair at least 12″ long for a bracelet or 24″ long for a necklace, or 1-2 skeins of embroidery thread. Bring more thread for a multi-colored bracelet.
