Our long time Cemetery friend and advocate Ann Marie Myers passed away on September 25, 2017. Ann Marie’s passion for the Cemetery was shown in many ways over the years. Jane White originally recruited her to “gravegarden,” and over time, her role kept evolving. From helping Rose Festival visitors find a rose, bagging “Billy Doux” to sell in the spring, bottling the yearly honey harvest with her husband Steve, assisting in the office, and finally to serving as a board member—Ann Marie did it all. These are only a sampling of her many acts of kindness here.
Her other passion in town was Habitat for Humanity. Ann Marie’s hands-on involvement there was equally well known.
Ann Marie was, simply, all about others. Cemetery staff and volunteers were grateful to have her in our lives.
