Arbor Day at OCC

The Lynchburg Tree Stewards will be holding an Arbor Day celebration on Friday, April 30 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Old City Cemetery. A tree planting in the shrub garden will be followed by an early spring tree identification walk around the cemetery. The event is free but registration is required at www.lynchburgparksandrec.com

As a Mother’s Day gift, we are offering this free tour of OCC’s antique and heirloom rose collection. Rose expert, Bruce Christian, will lead this tour and give details about the history of particular roses, the cemetery’s collection, and tips on how to incorporate historic roses into your own garden. Although this tour is free, registration is required.
