OCC has had another successful rose and perennial sale this spring. However, this week is the final time to purchase these plants. Large roses are $40, smaller roses $20, and perennials are $15. There are only about 15 different rose varieties left, but there are quite a few of the ‘Aviateur Blériot.’ They start out as apricot buds, but once they bloom, they turn from pale yellow to almost white.
The perennials on hand at this time are:
- Anemone Clematis
- Armandii Clematis
- Tangerine Crossvine
- Rosemary
- Deutzia
- Red Buckeye (Aesculus pavia)–large shrub or dwarf tree
Deutzia is a large shrub that could be a hedge if planted with others. Deutzia is in the Hydrangea family; it is fragrant and blooms in the spring.
All of the perennials for sale are planted on the property, and the plants for sale were rooted from cuttings taken here.
