Lynchburg’s favorite fall event is BACK for the 18th Season, and we want YOU to join us as Part of the Show! Anyone and everyone is invited to try out for a role in this one-of-a-kind living history theater experience!

Tech Week: Sept. 27 – Oct. 1
About the Tours: Candlelight Tours, held each October, is a consistently sold-out program of living history featuring historical characters who are buried at the cemetery or have a connection to the 218 year old cemetery. Guests arrive each night to be led by their Spirit Guide through the candle-lit grounds to hear the true stories of our cemetery residents in a series of unique and engaging vignettes. Old City Cemetery is managed by the nonprofit Southern Memorial Association which is an equal opportunity employer. We are seeking actors of all ages and races to play various historical figures buried in the cemetery, as well as Tour Guides who will have an individual character & costume, and will give context about each story as they lead audience members to the six different performance sites each evening. Some Spirit Guides and Scene Actors will be singing this year. All roles are paid.
