When a beloved animal has died and been cremated, the ashes may be scattered within a garden setting on a bluff overlooking the Cemetery’s pond, chapel, and dovecote.
Within a grove of red maple trees stands a life-sized statue of Saint Francis, patron saint of animals and the environment, who watches over the scatter garden enclosure and the memorial tablet near the garden’s entrance gate.
This naturally beautiful site and the historic cemetery grounds provide a permanent and respectful place of remembrance that will be meaningful to all who have loved, lost, and mourned their animals.
The tax-deductible scattering fee of $100 includes cost of memorial name plaque and photograph of the animal in the Beloved Animals Album on display in the Cemetery Center.
Please contact a member of the Cemetery staff for more information.
