Join our Horticulture Coordinator Kaye Moomaw on November 29 at 9:30 a.m. for a special holiday wreath making workshop. For the first time in a long time, this workshop is BACK on the grounds of Old City Cemetery!
The Station House Museum will be filled with the scent of old wood, hot cider and Christmas greens as we work to create a traditional wreath, plus a lighter crescent wreath perfect for adorning all kinds of places around your home.
Bring clippers and gloves (if you don’t like prickly or sappy pine cones and greens). We’ll provide all the other tools necessary, plus greenery and adornments from the historic grounds. If you have your own “treasures” you want to use on your wreath, feel free to bring those as well.
Boxes of additional greens and wreath forms will be available to purchase if you just can’t stop at one. Or, if you can’t make it on the 29th and don’t have time to gather greens, you can purchase your very own “wreath making kit” from the Cemetery.
The cost is $50 per person, and reservations are required. Wreath making kits are $35 each. Please contact the Cemetery Center for more information or to make a reservation: (434) 847-1465 or occ@gravegarden.org.
